The man behind the mask

This is my first time ever writing one of these things, a blog. I suppose I should start with a little about myself, currently I am a 2nd year university student studying Psychology, well it's more like my 1st and half, took a semester off to work. I'm nineteen years of age, been writing since grade nine, just for myself mainly. I have a major passion for history, the interactions of people, and why people do the things that they do, which are some of the driving factors behind my degree. I love film, making films that is, it has been a fascination of mine since high school that I do not think I would ever lose. I grew up in a lower-middle class family, both my parents worked and raised me well, they currently are split up and living in two separate cities. I have a younger brother, who is an amateur musician (his band is quite good I might add) and is going to start is training to be a chef at the end of this year.

Not entirely sure what to write about, but I figure a bit of background about the writer would be a good idea, possibly? Anyways, I thought I would start these blogs off with some of my poetry. I just wrote this one, and I hope you all enjoy it.

A darkened shadow
The man in the mask
Behind a desk
Watching change out the window
Colours fade to dust
Framing around a photograph
Unbeating of a heart
Of ancient stone pilars
Falling leaves of time
Lifeless lover
Materialized of creation
Underlined in a notebook
Beauty of the supreme dream-scape
A lit candle withou a wick
Now, a light without darkness
The mask removed
Treasures discovered below
Removed from a platform
Watching behind the reflection,
Clear as blue.
